3 Simple Steps to Reduce the Pressure You Feel in Life

Do you take time to experience joy in your life? Maybe doing what you love or having fun with your loved ones? Or manifesting a dream you have?

If your answer is yes, that’s wonderful! We’re glad you do this.

If your answer is no, then why is that so? What’s getting in the way of finding joy in life and realizing the dreams you have?

Do you feel too busy with all the other aspects of your life that have to be handled that you can barely come up for air? There’s just no time for anything else.

Maybe your life seems to be a series of challenges right now – one after another – and you just can’t figure out how to break free from that cycle.

Sometimes, the pressure we feel in life can be overwhelming. It feels like a tremendous weight bearing down on us with no relief in sight.

Maybe you have a vision that your life could be different, but you just don’t know how to make it happen.

When we have continuous stress in our lives, it’s hard to take the first steps to break free from the endless cycle. And the stress can start to affect our physical health and emotional well-being, making us feel we have no energy to even begin to consider a change. We can feel like we’re barely hanging on by a thread.

If this is you, you’re not alone. An estimated 75-90% of doctor visits today are stress-related issues or ailments. That’s a lot!

Although stress is a part of life, there are simple practices that can help you release the pressure and help you to keep your stress levels lower.  This will help your body and mind stay healthier. You’ll feel more energy, power and strength, allowing you to be calmer and more joyful in life.

Here are 3 simple steps to get you started.

  1. Breathe – It sounds simple, right? But when we’re stressed, we hold our breath or breathe shallowly. So, notice how you’re breathing during the day. Pause and take a deep, slow breath in and out. Repeat several times and notice how your body begins to relax.

2. Get moving – Whether you like to swim, bike, walk or do yoga, movement will get your blood circulating and your muscles engaged, releasing the tension that you’re holding in your body and improving your health.

3. Sleep – Sleep is vital for the health and well-being of our body and mind. When we feel rested and not depleted, we have more energy and a better mood. You’ll be able to enjoy the day and feel you’re able to handle whatever comes your way. To help you have a good night’s sleep, get outside for sunlight during the day, engage in some movement and be mindful of what you eat or drink in the evening. Then you’ll more easily nod off when you climb into bed.

These 3 steps appear to be quite simple, yet they’re the foundation for enjoying your life.
