How to Create Empowering Stories About Your Dream
Are you on the path to manifest your dream? We hope so! We know that manifesting your dream will be a great gift to your life and to others.
We, David and Jeannine, will tell you that it’s amazing to see the dream and vision that you’ve held for years manifest before your eyes. Since 2018, we had a dream to create an oasis for spiritual creatives where we could support them in manifesting their dreams. And now in 2025, we’re doing just that! It’s been an amazing journey, but not always easy.
Meeting those challenges and the stories we told about them make a difference, we know!
Everyone creates stories - stories about their lives and their experiences. They may be stories of happiness and fun or stories of suffering and grief. They may be stories of courage and perseverance or stories of failure and defeat. You replay these stories in your mind or tell them to others. They make up who you are or, at least, who you think you are in the world.
You carry these stories as memories from the past into every conversation, activity or decision – even when you talk about manifesting your dream. Your words and actions reflect whether you want the stories from the past to repeat themselves in the future or if you want to forge a different path.
In every experience you’ve had in life, feelings bubble up inside based on what you’ve perceived of the situation. Those feelings blossom into thoughts and emotions that you label – good/bad, frightening/safe, joyful/sad and more. And here is where you begin to create stories about what happened and why it happened to you, so it has meaning in your life. But each new story you create builds upon those past experiences and how you viewed them. And these past stories can pop up on your journey to manifesting your dream.
“My friends think this dream is unrealistic just like all my crazy ideas. Maybe I should just drop it.”
“I made a mistake and now I feel like a failure. I should just give up on this.”
“I’m not an expert on this. I shouldn’t even be trying.”
“I’m not good enough. I’ll never get better. I’m too old.”
What stories do you tell yourself about your life? Are they empowering stories about overcoming obstacles and succeeding? Or are they negative ones that limit your potential in life?
What stories do you tell yourself when you encounter obstacles in manifesting your dream? Do they sabotage your dreams or do they energize them?

You’re the author of your own story! You can write and rewrite the story, as needed, for manifesting your dream. At any moment, you have the ability and the authority to change the story to the one you prefer.
If the stories you tell about manifesting your dream are disempowering, you can make a change. You can change the narrative to an empowering one. You have a choice in how you view events and interactions and the stories you create.
Let’s take a moment and transform the stories above to empowering ones.
“My friends think this dream is unrealistic. But I know that I can make it happen! I just need to find support.”
“I made a mistake. Everyone makes mistakes. I’ll can fix it and get back on track again. I’ve done that before and can do it now.”
“I’m not an expert on this YET. I’m learning and will continue learning. I can become an expert if I want to be.”
“I am divine, and I am loved. I’m always learning, growing and evolving – this year, next year and every year of my life.

What stories can you begin telling yourself (and others!) about manifesting your dream? Will they be self-sabotaging or empowering? You can author stories that will bring you more joy and fulfillment on your journey!
