Do You Feel Stuck?

6 steps to help you get back on track in manifesting your dream


Do you have great visions of realizing your dream, but are feeling stuck at the moment? 

Maybe you got derailed from the steps you were taking to accomplish it. Maybe you had an emergency come up and you haven’t returned to it yet. Maybe you just don’t have the enthusiasm and energy you had at the beginning. 


We can feel stuck for many reasons. But awareness that you are stuck and realizing you don’t want to be there is a great start to getting back on track. 


If you are finding yourself stuck right now, try these steps to help reignite your fire for realizing your dream. 


  1. Identify your obstacles – Think about how you got to this stuck place. Was it an outside event that occurred? Lack of regular time for your dream in your schedule? A problem you didn’t anticipate? Doubts that crept in? Try to identify what led to where you are now. 


  1. Shift your perspective – Instead of thinking of this situation as problematic and difficult, shift your perspective. Move from the negative thoughts to positive ones. Consider what might be an opportunity in the obstacle that arose. Are you learning something helpful that will support you on your next steps? Are you avoiding a problem what might have arisen that you were unaware of? Did you give yourself a much-needed rest for a while? Consider the hidden gift within this period of feeling stuck. 


  1. Make a change – Changing your usual habits and routines can breathe fresh air into a situation. It gets us out of autopilot in our lives. Go for a walk in a new place and contemplate how you can get back on track while you walk. Change your schedule for working on your dream to a different time or day. Use a new form of creative expression to put a voice to your stuckness and how to release it – write a song, draw a picture, model with clay. 


  2. Reconsider your why – Remember why you wanted this dream in the beginning. Does that passion for it still live within you, even if buried deep? How will realizing it in your life contribute to your life or others in the world? Think about how you will feel once you manifest this dream. 


  1. Seek help – Seek help in a friend or consultant who can support you in getting back on track. Having a companion who can listen to your troubles and offer caring advice can be helpful. Just knowing that others are there to support you can give you a boost of energy and forward momentum. 


  2. Recommit – Resolve with clear intention that you will get back to manifesting your dream. Outline the steps you need to take to do so. Plan the day and time that you will make the shift. Celebrate when you do it!


All of us get stuck at times in our lives! We can get back on track more easily when we take a little time to do it with focus and intention.
