Reconnect with Your True Self

Release anxiety and stress and return to being grounded and calm


Staying healthy, grounded and calm can be a challenge these days! Many of us are experiencing anxiety, stress, sadness and even grief. We can often feel disconnected from others and even from our own lives. 


During a time like this, practicing a meaningful activity with mindful attention can bring us back to ourselves and help us reconnect. This is often called embodiment. 


Embodiment integrates the many layers of self, engaging your physical body with your mind and soul. Moving your body with intention and your senses awakened will facilitate an active connection and support you in being grounded and calm yet energized. 

When the body gets moving, energy circulates. You’re able to release blocks and open to the nourishment that you need. You activate deep healing and growth. 




You can engage in embodiment in movement practices such as yoga, qigong and tai chi. But you can also do it with gardening, walking or any meaningful movement that is done with mindfulness. 




Here are 3 common stages experienced as you engage in embodiment:


  1. Release –You begin to clear stuck energy, creating a space for the new. 

  2. Open – When energy starts circulating, you’ll become more open. You’ll feel in the flow. Your mood and energy shift. 

  3. Expand –As you become open, you’ll feel a shift to a higher, more elevated state. You’ll feel expansive with a sense of rejuvenation and even renewal. You’ll feel a deeper connection to your true self, your divine self.


If you embrace embodiment as a practice, you’ll soon discover shifts in your life. You’ll feel more connected to yourself and to others around you. You’ll more easily feel the longings of your soul calling to you. 


We, David and Jeannine, use active embodiment as a practice in our transformational offerings. This is experiential learning at its finest! We use simple movements (no expertise required!) that are designed to shift energy. They’re often accompanied with sacred words or music and support you in deepening your connection to your illuminated path in life.
