Living Your Dream For a Day



Do you want to live a meaningful life but feel it’s too unrealistic or idealistic to follow your dreams? 


You’re not alone! 


Sometimes it can feel overwhelming to figure out how to manifest the dreams you have. With a plan, perseverance and a little courage, it can happen! 


Here’s a good way to get started. 


Behave as though you already have manifested your dream. When you do this, there is an energetic shift, and you start to attract the right opportunities and people into your life. Soon you’re on your way. 


Maybe you have a dream to move to a different location. Maybe another state or even country. 


Imagine when you look out the window of your home in the morning that you see yourself already living in the house you would have there. What would you see out the window? What plants, buildings, people, animals? What sounds would you hear? 


What clothes would you wear when you live in that new location? Picture the people, the weather and whatever else you would experience there as if it’s in your life already. 



Maybe your dream is something different. Picture it in as much detail as you can. 

What would you be doing during your day? How would you interact with others or how would you spend your time? 


Remember, your imagination is quite powerful. What you think and believe becomes reality. 

Now, give it a try for a day! Decide which day. On the morning of that day, spend a few minutes sitting quietly, relaxing your body and breathing slowly. Then follow these 3 steps. 


  1. Set an intention for the day of pretending you’re already living your dream. Picture it in your mind in detail as clearly as you can. 


What feeling would you have living your dream? Embody that feeling now, as if it already exists. 


  1. Express gratitude for being able to live your dream. Gratitude is a feeling that arises after something has already occurred. So, be grateful as if it has already happened. 


  1. Step into your day, keeping in mind your dream as you go about your day. Be creative and truly embody it. No one else needs to know you’re doing this. Walk and interact as if you’ve already manifested your dream.



Living a day as if you’ve already realized your dream takes you one step closer to it. 

You may enjoy this so much that you keep going and live more days “as if...” until the if goes away!
