What Happens After You Say Yes?

There is a beautiful energy that comes with saying yes to a dream that you’ve wanted to manifest.
Yes to a longing you’ve quietly carried for years. Yes to the possibility that something more is calling you. Yes to the idea that you can still grow and evolve.
In the beginning, that yes can feel energizing, even exhilarating. You may feel inspired, hopeful, and connected to all that exists as possibility. There might be a sense of awakening, as something that has gone dormant within you begins to stir.
But eventually, this stage passes and another one arrives.
The excitement softens. Questions emerge. Doubt may begin whispering in your ear. At this point, many people find themselves wondering, now what?
This part of the journey is rarely talked about, yet it’s one of the most important stages of manifesting your dream.
After you say yes, there is often a space in between. You’re no longer in the initial stage of excitement in committing to the dream, but you haven’t yet fully arrived at a clear plan forward.
This time can feel uncertain, vulnerable, and sometimes even lonely.
This isn’t a sign to let go of your dream, it’s simply part of the process.

You’ve taken the first step of opening the doorway to your dream. And once you walk through it, you begin learning how to be flexible and patient.
Realize your dream isn’t likely going to be a linear path. It’ll probably unfold slowly and organically. At times, it may include a lack of clarity and even fear and doubt.
This “in-between” time asks you to trust that growth is happening even when you cannot see the full picture yet.
Think about a seed planted in the ground. Once planted, it doesn’t bloom overnight. For a time, much of the growth happens beneath the surface where no one can see it. Roots deepen before anything visible emerges.
Dreams often grow this way too.
After saying yes, you may notice parts of yourself resisting change. Old fears may surface:
What if I fail?
What if I disappoint others?
What if I’m not capable after all?
These thoughts are showing you that you’re stepping out of your comfort zone, out of what’s familiar in your daily life.

Sometimes you just need to take the next step, however small. A conversation. A new habit. Time to plan. A willingness to just move forward without having every detail figured out already.
Momentum is built through a continued willingness to show up and take the next steps needed, even those small ones!
This September, we’ll gather for a Live Your Dreams in-person retreat, a space designed to support not only the moment of saying yes, but also everything that comes after. Through reflection, community, and intentional pause, this retreat can help you reconnect with your deeper vision and trust the unfolding process of manifesting your dream. Find more details here.

If you’ve already said yes to a longing you’ve had, even quietly, trust that you don’t need to have it all figured out today.
Sometimes the most important thing is simply staying open as the dream continues to unfold, sometimes in unexpected ways.
